The emerald ash borer is an invasive species that is very harmful to ash trees. The most obvious sign of an emerald ash borer infestation is a sudden decline in the health of your ash tree and the presence of distinct D-shaped holes. The health of your tree can best be diagnosed by consulting, Service d’Arbres Stéphane, a certified arborist, and an arborist, who will examine the problem on-site.
What is the difference between a tree pruning or pruning service?
When it comes to pruning, we are talking about huge trees or mature trees, but when it comes to pruning, we will maintain a shrub or a fruit tree. The younger it is, the easier it is to structure it to have the desired natural appearance. Through this aesthetic operation, we will remove the new branches and part of the shoots that we will see at the terminal part of the branches to equalize its top, without cutting it by more than 30%.
When should you prune?
Generally, the best time to prune is towards the end of winter for fruit trees, all other trees can be pruned at any time throughout the year.
Will your pruning, pruning, stump removal, … damage my land?
At Service d’Arbres Stéphane, the use of recognized methods and specialized equipment designed to avoid dragging trunks and branches on your lawn greatly reduces the risk of accidents and property damage. At the end of each project, our team takes great care to thoroughly clean your land after their visit.
How far should my tree branches be from electrical wires?
If branches or parts of your tree are near electrical wires, it will be your responsibility to clear the electrical wires, either to prune or prune them. In certain situations, you will have to contact Hydro-Québec to send you a team authorized to carry out work near the electrical network. It is therefore the responsibility of the owner to hire a certified arborist company to maintain the free connection of any branch or tree trunk that could harm or damage the cables.
